Background
JEGI CLARITY is a leading advisor in the content production marketplace, so CreativeDrive was quick to catch our eye as “one to watch” shortly after taking an investment from Bertram. As we often do with clients, we developed a close working relationship with the company years in advance of potential sale transaction, sharing insights and information to help them chart their course. We were ultimately selected as their M&A transaction advisor because we had added value as a trusted business advisor.
Sector Context
eCommerce continues to grow at over 20% annually and now exceeds 20% of total retail spending. For marketers, scaling and maintaining their ecommerce operations is highly complex and requires major investments in 24/7 infrastructure, including support services. The ecommerce tech and services ecosystem is flourishing as a result. Software. Digital advertising. Affiliate networks. Consumer apps. Payment platforms. Specialist agencies. All have a hand in making ecommerce hum.
Yet underneath it all, one major “pain point” continues to vex brands: how to efficiently produce and manage the massive quantities of content, images and data, required to sell products online. Enter CreativeDrive.
Our role
JEGI CLARITY has completed more transactions in the Content Production category than any other firm, spanning long form entertainment content, post-production services, online visual merchandising, social content, CGI and good old-fashioned brand creative.
We met early and often with the owners of CreativeDrive, Bertram Capital, to keep them updated on key developments in the sector. And stayed in constant contact with management to help them review acquisitions and fine tune their go-to-market strategy. We helped them identify and cultivate the very best strategic buyers for the business, including Accenture Interactive.
